Parish Updates: June 12, 2022

“Welcoming our Risen Lord as we journey beyond

COVID and in the light of our Synod on Synodality”

1. Our next registration for the Family Faith Formation Program will be Sunday, June 12 after all of the Masses in the rectory office. Please note that after July 31, the registration fees will be $80 for 1 child and $180 for 3 children. All returning students must register anew. Details about the program can be found on the parish website. You can also call the rectory and make an appointment for registration.

2. We will be kicking off the summer with a Potluck on Sunday, June 26 after each of the Masses. You can sign up to attend or volunteer for this event via Flocknote, by scanning the QR code and completing a form, or by using the sign-up sheet located at the Bergen Avenue vestibule of the church. If you are signing up, kindly indicate which mass you will be attending and what you will be bringing. Some suggestions would include bagels with cream cheese, sandwiches, cookies, muffins, individually packaged snacks, fruit, or drinks/water for about 10-15 people. Coffee will be provided. We would also like to have a raffle to further support upcoming summer activities. If you would be interested in donating any prizes (unused items for children and adults such as toys, electronics, or a gift basket), you may drop them off during office hours at the rectory: Tues-Fri 10 am-3 pm, Saturday afternoon or Sunday after the Masses to the priest celebrant. Thank you to all who participated in the past fundraisers (Christmas, Easter, and the recent bag sale). We were able to purchase tents and weights with the proceeds to replace some damaged ones. This will surely help with the upcoming summer activities that will be held.

3. Erich Sekel of our Saint Peter’s University Campus Kitchen and Clothing Closet is so grateful for everyone’s generosity. He asks, however, that we suspend donations for June, July, and August since his student workers are on summer vacation. We will resume our giving to the Campus Kitchen and Clothing Closet on the last Sunday in September.

4. Please remind friends and family members that the Saturday 5:30 p.m. Vigil Mass has returned. Mass intentions can be requested for this Mass. Just call the rectory and talk to Joy.
