Starting Sunday, June 21 St. Aedan’s enters Phase 3 of Cardinal Tobin’s Reopening the Churches of the Archdiocese of Newark.
This Sunday, June 21 St. Aedan’s welcomes 50 parishioners to attend Mass at 9 a.m. in English and 50 parishioners to attend Mass at 11 a.m. in Spanish.
Everyone who wishes to attend Mass this Sunday, 9 a.m. & 11 a.m., and throughout next week at 12:10 p.m. Monday –Friday, must register and reserve a seat here: https://staedans.flocknote.com/signup/3324
Please take note of the following guidelines:
Those who are at risk because of an underlying health issue or who are 60 years of age or older are strongly encouraged to avoid the risks posed by attendance at public celebrations of the Mass.
St. Aedan’s will continue to livestream all Masses so that those unable to attend may maintain a spiritual connection to the Parish.
Those registered for Mass this Sunday should arrive to St. Aedan’s by 8:30 a.m. for the English Mass and by 10:30 a.m. for the Spanish Mass, entering the side doors WEARING MASKS and checking in with the Parish volunteers. Those not registered in advance may not be able to enter if the 50 person STATE MANDATED number has already been reached. Please, don’t be angry at the Parish volunteers or the priests, this is the realities of a global pandemic and the safety mandates of the State, the CDC and the Archdiocese.
Parishioners will be invited by the Parish volunteers to sit in designated sections of the Church, two persons per pew and every other pew in accordance with CDC guidelines of 6 feet of social distancing on all sides.
There will only be private/silent prayer before Mass, no rosary or novena recitation.
Parishioners are welcome to light candles before Mass. Candles will already be in place and the donations can be dropped into the whit box marked “CANDLE MONEY.”
After the Final Blessing of the Sunday Masses and Weekday Masses, parishioners are asked to leave the Church in silence, exercising social distancing. This will allow the Saint Peter’s University cleaning service to sanitize the Church building according to CDC guidelines for churches and houses of worship.
Confessions will take place on Fridays from 1 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. on the rectory patio by Stewardship Hall, weather permitting. Bothe penitent and priest are required to wear masks for the duration of the Confession.

A partir del domingo 21 de junio, la iglesia de St. Aedan’s entrará en la Fase Tres del Plan para la Reapertura de las Iglesias de la Arquidiócesis de Newark aprobado por el Cardenal Tobin.
Este domingo 21 de junio, la iglesia de St. Aedan’s podrá acomodar a 50 feligreses que quieran asistir a la Misa de las 9 a.m. en inglés y a otros 50 feligreses que quieran venir a la Misa de las 11 a.m. en español.
Todos los que quieran asistir a la Misa este domingo, ya sea la de las 9 a.m. o la de las 11 a.m., y a la Misa de 12:10 p.m. de lunes a viernes, deberán hacer una cita para reservar lugar aqui: https://staedans.flocknote.com/signup/3324
Por favor tengan en cuenta las siguientes directrices:
Pedimos enérgicamente que los mayores de 60 años de edad o que tengan problemas de salud se abstengan de venir a la Misa en persona.
La iglesia de St. Aedan’s continuará transmitiendo en vivo la Misa para que aquéllos que no pueden venir en persona se mantengan vinculados espiritualmente a la parroquia.
Los que tengan cita para asistir a la Misa este domingo deberán llegar a St. Aedan’s a las 8:30 a.m. para asistir a la Misa en inglés y a las 10:30 a.m. para asistir a la Misa en español. Todos deberán entrar por las puertas laterales USANDO UNA MASCARILLA e identificarse a uno de los voluntarios de la parroquia. Los que no tengan cita no podrán entrar al templo si el número máximo de 50 personas, ESTABLECIDO POR EL ESTADO, ya ha reservado lugar. POR FAVOR no se molesten con los voluntarios o sacerdotes ya que ésta es la nueva realidad que vivimos debido a una pandemia mundial y las medidas de seguridad exigidas por el Estado, la CDC, y la Arquidiócesis.
Al entrar a la iglesia, se les indicará los sitios donde podrán sentarse, dos personas por banco, dejando libre cada segunda fila de bancos, en conformidad con las directrices del CDC sobre el distanciamiento social de seis pies.
Antes de la misa, sólo se les permitirá orar en privado/silencio; no habrá ni rosario ni novena.
Podrán encender velas antes de la Misa; las velas ya estarán en el estante y podrán dejar sus donaciones en la caja blanca que dice, “VELAS.”
Tras la bendición final de las Misas de domingo y entre semana, les pedimos que salgan de la iglesia en silencio cumpliendo el distanciamiento social. El servicio de limpieza de la Universidad de Saint Peter podrá entonces desinfectar el interior del templo según las normas del CDC para iglesias y lugares de culto.
Si las condiciones del tiempo lo permiten, habrá Confesiones cada viernes de 1 p.m. a 1:30 p.m. en el patio de la casa parroquial cerca de Stewardship Hall. El sacerdote y el penitente deberán usar mascarilla para participar de este sacramento.
