Pope Francis has invited the Church throughout the world to enter into a two year re-examination of the way the Catholic Church is listening to and walking with its parishioners. He is calling this special journey for the Church a Synod on Synodality. To prepare us for our listening and sharing as a parish, please find special prayer cards at the doors of the church. In the little red buckets are the prayer cards in Spanish and in the blue ones prayer cards in English.
The tags for our partnered Angel Giving Tree with Saint Peter’s University can be found at the table in the vestibule with a Christmas tree and red table cover. Stop by, get a tag and purchase a gift for a poor child of our County. Please return your gift unwrapped and with the tag taped to the gift. All gifts must be returned to our big blue bin by the 12:10 Mass this Thursday, December 16th or the parish office.
“Simbang Gabi: A Parade of Parols” begins this Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. You will find envelopes at the break of the Church each evening for your special intentions of that evening. These will be brought up at the Offertory and placed before the altar. Afterward, the envelopes will be placed on the altar and remain throughout the duration of the 9 evenings. You are also invited to bring a parol and it too will remain in the Church. All parols will be blessed the final night of our Simbang Gabi. We have nine parols ready to be decorated. First come, first served! See me at the tag table if you are interested!
You are invited next Sunday, December 19 to bring poinsettias to Mass. We will have sharpies and labels available so you can offer them in memory of a loved one or in thanksgiving. We also have envelopes at the doors of the Church for Christmas flower donations if you prefer this option. Either choice will allow us to put the final touches on our Christmas decorating. We will also have our Christmas tree lighting next Sunday at 5:30 p.m. outside of Stewardship Hall. There will be Christmas music, hot chocolate, cookies and lots of parish family fun. All the prep and set up for our Christmas tree lighting will be compliments of our parish youth!
Fliers are available at the doors of the Church announcing our Simbang Gabi celebration and Christmas Holiday Mass schedule. Feel free to take several and share with family members and friends.
Finally, we have a Holiday Fundraiser of wonderful Christmas items to support upcoming parish activities. Check it out as you leave the Church today.

El Papa Francisco ha invitado a la iglesia en todo el mundo a entrar en un discernimiento de dos años enfocado en como la iglesia Católica escucha y camina con sus feligreses. Llama a este viaje especial de la iglesia un Sínodo por una iglesia sinodal. Para prepararnos a escuchar y compartir como una parroquia, por favor encuentre tarjetas de oración especiales en las puertas de la iglesia. En los cubos rojos están las tarjetas de oración en español.
Te invitamos el próximo domingo 19 de diciembre a traer poinsettias a Misa. Tendremos tarjetas y etiquetas disponibles para que puedas ofrecerlas en memoria de un ser querido o en acción de gracias. También disponemos de sobres en las puertas de la iglesia para donaciones de flores navideñas si prefieres esta opción. Cualquiera de las dos opciones nos permitirá dar los toques finales a nuestra decoración navideña. Además tendremos la iluminación del árbol de Navidad el próximo domingo a las 5:30 p.m. fuera del Stewardship Hall. Habrá música navideña, chocolate caliente, galletas y mucha diversión familiar en la parroquia. Toda la preparación y configuración para la iluminación del árbol de Navidad será cortesía de los jóvenes de nuestra parroquia.
Encuentre en las puertas de la iglesia un folleto que anuncia nuestro programa de misas navideñas. Este ano celebremos la santa Misa de Nochebuena a las seis en la tarde, todo en español y la santa Misa de Navidad a las once en la mañana, todo en español. Por favor, comparte copias del folleto con miembros de tu familia y otras amistades.
Gracias a un comité de feligreses que me ayudaron mucho, tuvimos hasta hoy un programa increíble para celebrar nuestra virgen de Guadalupe. Después la misa, pasaremos por el gimnasio de la escuelita a lado la iglesia, Primary Prep a recibir comida, bebidas y otros cosas.
