The Cardinal announced this week that Mass capacity starting this Sunday, June 28 can be 100 if churches have the capacity in light of the CDC guidelines of six feet of social distancing.
With the help of parish volunteers, St. Aedan’s has been tastefully prepared with white cording and blue seat markers on the pews to welcome 100 parishioners to the 9 a.m. English Mass and the 11 a.m. Spanish Mass.

Please take note of the following guidelines:
Cardinal Tobin reminds us that we are dispensed from the obligation to attend Mass on Sunday and also urges all those with underlying health issues or who are 60 years or older to remain at home. We will continue for the foreseeable future to livestream all masses at St. Aedan’s from our Facebook page.
Those registered for Mass this Sunday should arrive to St. Aedan’s by 8:30 a.m. for the English Mass and by 10:20 a.m. for the Spanish Mass, entering the Church by the MAIN DOORS wearing masks and checking in with the Parish volunteers. Those not registered in in advance may not be able to enter if the 100 person capacity is reached. Please, don’t be angry at the Parish volunteers or the priests, this is the realities of a global pandemic and the safety mandates of the State, CDC and the Archdiocese.
There will be only private/silent prayer before Mass.
Parishioners are welcome to light candles before Mass. Candles will already be in place and the donations can be dropped into the white box marked “CANDLE MONEY.”
After the Final Blessing of the Mass, parishioners are asked to leave the Church in silence and exercising social distancing. This will allow the Saint Peter’s University cleaning service to sanitize the Church after each Mass.
Confessions will take place on Fridays from 1 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. on the rectory patio by Stewardship Hall, weather permitting. Both penitent and priest are required to wear masks for the duration of the Mass.
Be sure to bring to Church your own hand sanitizer.
El Cardenal anunció esta semana que la capacidad máxima de asistencia en cada Misa será 100 personas a partir de este domingo 28 de junio en aquellas Iglesias que puedan acomodar a este número de feligreses siguiendo las directrices del CDC y el distanciamiento social de seis pies.
Con la generosa ayuda de varios voluntarios, los bancos de la iglesia de St. Aedan’s ya están preparados con bellas cintas blancas y marcas azules para acomodar este domingo a 100 personas en la Misa de las 9 a.m. en inglés y en la de las 11 a.m. en español.

El Cardenal Tobin nos recuerda que seguimos exentos de la obligación de ir a Misa los domingos y urge a los que tengan problemas de salud o sean mayores de 60 años de edad que se queden en casa. Hasta nuevo aviso, seguiremos transmitiendo en vivo todas las Misas de St. Aedan’s a través de Facebook.
Los que tengan cita para asistir a la Misa este domingo deberán llegar a St. Aedan’s a las 8:30 a.m. para la Misa en inglés y a las 10:30 a.m. para la Misa en español. También deberán entrar por LAS PUERTAS PRINCIPALES DE ADELANTE usando una mascarilla e identificarse a uno de los voluntarios de la parroquia. Los que no tengan cita no podrán entrar al templo si el número máximo de 100 personas ya ha reservado lugar. POR FAVOR no se molesten con los voluntarios o sacerdotes ya que ésta es la nueva realidad que vivimos debido a la pandemia mundial y a las medidas de seguridad exigidas por el Estado, la CDC, y la Arquidiócesis.
Antes de la Misa, sólo se les permitirá orar en privado/silencio.
Podrán encender velas antes de la Misa; las velas ya estarán en el estante y podrán dejar sus donaciones en la caja blanca que dice, “VELAS.”
Tras la bendición final de la Misa, les pedimos que salgan de la iglesia en silencio cumpliendo el distanciamiento social. El servicio de limpieza de la Universidad de Saint Peter podrá entonces desinfectar el interior del templo.
Si las condiciones del tiempo lo permiten, habrá Confesiones cada viernes de 1 p.m. a 1:30 p.m. en el patio de la casa parroquial cerca de Stewardship Hall. El sacerdote y el penitente deberán usar mascarilla para participar de este sacramento.
No se les olvide traer a la iglesia su propio desinfectante para manos.
