Catholic Charities. A range of services to support behavioral health, children and family, education, workforce development, adult services, housing and food assistance, immigrant and refugee services, those with HIV & AIDS, and more.

Mercy House. Offering a welcoming space for individuals and families in need.

My Beautiful One, A ministry of accompaniment supports parents carrying to term following a prenatal diagnosis, from diagnosis through pregnancy, birth, and whatever lies ahead, for up to one year.

Pontifical Mission Societies. Promoting the ministry of evangelization through the four Pontifical Mission Societies: Propagation of the Faith, Holy Childhood Association, St. Peter Apostle, and Missionary Union of Priests and Religious.

Respect Life. Promoting the Catholic Church’s teaching on the respect, care, and protection of human life from conception to natural death. Our office services as a liaison to clergy, religious and laity in order to assist in affirming the dignity of life and provide support to people in need.

Social Concerns. The Office for Social Concerns embodies the mission of Jesus described in Luke 4:18-19 by bringing good news to the poor, advocating for freedom, healing the blind, and supporting the oppressed. Through collaborations with individuals, organizations, parish committees, and advocacy groups, we empower individuals to actively engage in their lives and work towards justice. Aligned with Pope Francis’s vision, we uphold the rights and responsibilities of all, striving for a peaceful world and the fulfillment of God’s Kingdom.

Campus Ministry. The Archdiocese supports campus ministries at our local universities, including Kean University, Montclair State University, NJCU, Ramapo College, Rutgers Newark, NJIT, and Essex County Community College, and Stevens Institute of Technology.

Lifelong Faith Formation. Learn about the abundant resources for Adult Faith Formation, Family Faith Formation, Hispanic Faith Formation, and what is involved with being a Catechist to help accompany those who may be exploring life within the Catholic Church.

Office for Evangelization. The office for Evangelization seeks to assist parishes and individuals in fostering and cultivating a culture of evangelization throughout the Archdiocese of Newark.
